The Carriage House, Sandhurst
A stunning converted carriage house with exposed brickwork, wood burning stoves and situated in stunning countryside. Located on farmland in the idyllic rolling hills of the Weald it is the perfect rural retreat.
The Cottage
Walk in to an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and feature brick wall as well as a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is well equipped and includes built in oven, microwave, fridge (with ice box) as well as an electric hob, plenty of cupboard space and a coffee machine. Comfortable seating for 4 with both dining and relaxing, flat screen TV. The Master Bedroom, with its half moon windows, includes super king-size bed, wood-burning stove, flat screen TV and en-suite shower-room with WC and basin. A separate utility room also leads off. The second bedroom with twin beds also has an en-suite shower-room with WC and basin as well as a large built-in wardrobe.
The Location
The Carriage House is located just outside of the village of Sandhurst and close to the boarder between Kent and East Sussex. The Village offers shops, pubs and a garage. You have great access to the Weald of Kent with Bewl Water, Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle, Bedgebury Forest and a number of vineyards. Also nearby is Bodiam Castle – well worth a visit and take a picnic! Other local places to visit include Rye and the beaches of Winchelsea and Camber, the hilltop village of Goudhurst, Cranbrook, the quaint town of Tenterden and the Royal Tunbridge Wells. A lovely church sits a couple of fields away from the cottage on top of the hill.
