Springwood Cottage, Near Tenterden
A luxurious cottage with amazing views for miles across the rolling Wealden countryside towards the North Downs in the distance. This is a pretty unique situation, with such a vast and impressive view – sitting out on the patio with such a sight is a great experience. The property has been completed to a high standard throughout and the owners have fitted the cottage with a great attention to detail. As well as the terrace to the rear, there is a large lawned area which you have access to (please note that there is an unfenced pond in the owners grounds, although not within immediate proximity to the cottage).
The Cottage
An oak frame porch greets you and leads to a modern, well equipped and spacious kitchen which includes dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, induction hob and double ovens, TV and belfast sink. There are a couple of steps down into the lounge/ dining area with comfortable seating, dining table which can be extended to seat 8, large flatscreen TV and access to the rear patio area with the views. There is a downstairs bedroom with queen double bed, wardrobe, dresser and TV. Accessed through the other side of this bedroom is a second sitting area that doubles up as a 4th bedroom with double sofa-bed (surcharge) – also adjoined by a downstairs shower-room including WC and basin. Upstairs are two bedrooms; one with a queen double bed and the other with twin single beds, this also featuring an en-suite shower-room including large shower, WC and basin.
The Location
Located just over a mile from of Tenterden, there is quick access to the amenities of 2 super-markets, boutique shopping and a range of restaurants/ pubs. There is also Camber sands beach and the ancient hill top town of Rye both within 15 minutes drive which are worth a visit. Ashford’s designer outlet and high speed train links to London and the continent are also close by. The Weald of Kent is on the doorstep with endless countryside and historic monuments to explore; Sissinghurst and Bodiam Castles are both a worthwhile trip. The surrounding villages in this area have excellent pubs serving good food and picturesque settings.
