Little Owl Cottage is set in the landscaped gardens of a 15th century farmhouse in the Hamlet of Throwley Forstal. The cottage has been refurbed and extended for late 2019. Beautiful views over-looking fields from the private, fully fenced, suntrap patio area which has a table and chairs as well as a couple of sun loungers. The well insulated interior has been fitted with quality fixtures and fittings throughout including a luxury sofa-bed to sleep 2.There are a selection of games and books available in the property. You have secure off road private parking and your own path to the cottage.
The Cottage
The open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area is a lovely space in which to relax comfortably in a modern, warm and considered space. There is a rangemaster cooker with gas hob and electric ovens. The lounge offers leather sofa’s one of which creates a third sleeping area for a 5th and or 6th person. At each end of the cottage is a well-appointed double bedroom with wardrobe and storage facilities. One leads directly onto the patio area via french doors! Bathroom with fully tiled walk in shower, basin and w/c.
The Location
Throwley Forstal is set high up in the North Downs of mid Kent. Walk or cycle the famous Pilgrims Way and Faversham Golf Club is nearby, 2 miles of country walks will bring you to a pub. The historic town of Faversham is just a 10 minute drive with several supermarkets, a range of shops, restaurants and cafes. Two local attractions of particular note to foodies are Macknade Fine Foods, a high quality farm shop and cafe, and the Brogdale national fruit collection which has food and craft shops, a restaurant and cafe. Whilst Little Owl Cottage is situated in a beautiful setting, it also has good access to the M2 and therefore to London and international airports by road, or in the other direction, to the world renowned Cathedral City of Canterbury, to Ashford and its high speed rail links to London, the Thanet sea-front towns of Whitstable, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and the Port of Dover for day trips to France. This central Kent rural location is very much recommended!
