Farnley Little Barn, Near Canterbury
This beautiful 200 year old barn conversion is an ideal base in the rolling hills of the North Downs. It has been tastefully converted with much love to a very high standard. Every room an abundance of exposed oak beams and the bedroom windows are copies of the original oak mullions with internal shutters. Beautiful views across the downs can be enjoyed. The barn is situated in large gardens with a secluded area at the rear including outdoor furniture and the use of an adjoining orchard. There is plenty of off-street parking and lockable storage for bicycles.
The Cottage
A cosy lounge/dining room tiled with authentic quarry-tiles, furnished with rustic dining table and chairs, two sofas, TV and DVD as well as a Coal effect electric fire. There is a well equipped country kitchen which includes a washing machine and fridge/freezer. Upstairs are two beautiful vaulted bedrooms, the master double and one twin looking across the orchard. The bathroom includes bath with power-shower over, hand-basin and toilet.
The Location
Farnley Little Barn is situated in the small peaceful hamlet of Crundale with its rolling hills in all directions, it is 2 miles from the village of Wye with shops, post office, bakery and pubs and 8 miles from both historic Canterbury and Ashford with a range of amenities as well as excellent transport links to London and the continent. The famous walks of the Pilgrims Way and North Down Way are nearby, including the Wye Downs walk near the Chalk Crown. There is a good local pub, The Compasses Inn, 1.5 miles away serving excellent local food. The coast of Kent is about half an hours drive to Whitstable on the Northern coastline.
