Forge Cottage, Throwley Forstal Nr. Faversham
Forge Cottage is set in the beautiful gardens of a 15th century farmhouse in the hamlet of Throwley Forstal. Beautiful outdoor space with pond (please note the pond is not fenced and 4ft at its deepest) and patio looking over fields with a table and chairs for four as well as a couple of sun loungers. The interior has been fitted with quality furnishings throughout including a sofa bed to sleep 2, a selection of games and books are available in the property.
The Cottage
Well equipped kitchen with wooden worktops, gas hob and large ceramic belfast sink leads through to the lounge/dining area with quality sofa-bed to sleep 2, dining table and flatscreen TV with Freeview. The shower room includes a large walk-in quality shower, basin, airing cupboard and separate w/c with an additional basin. The master bedroom has patio doors that lead to the outside space, large wardrobe and quality double bed. Separate utility room.
The Location
Throwley Forstal is set high up in the North Downs of central Kent. Walk or cycle the famous Pilgrims Way and Faversham Golf Club is nearby, 2 miles of country walk will bring you to a pub. The historic town of Faversham is a 10 minute drive with several supermarkets, a range of other shops, restaurants and cafes. Two local attractions of particular interest to Foodies are Macknade Fine Foods, a high quality farm shop and cafe and the Brogdale national fruit collection which also has food and craft shops, a restaurant and cafe. Whilst Forge Cottage is situated in a beautiful setting, it also has good access to the M2 and thence to London and international airports, or in the other direction, to the world renowned Cathedral City of Canterbury, to Ashford and its high speed rail link to London, the Thanet sea front towns and the Port of Dover for day trips to France.
